Teacher Trainings

Yoga teacher trainings and workshops are presented through a therapeutic lens and accessible to all regardless of age, mobility or experience.

Yoga Teacher Training for Educators, Caregivers and Self

This teacher training is specifically designed for the personal and professional development of educators.

In the service of others as teachers, counselors and caregivers you are asked to be fully present with every student and ready to give insightful, compassionate help. With each interaction, taking from your personal reserve of energy and resilience. Over time this takes a toll. This past year has taught us many things, especially the necessity of taking care of oneself.

Come away with resources, activities and practices that can be used in the classroom to benefit the diverse and unique needs of your students.

Some examples:

  • Adapting the yoga poses to benefit dancers, cheer and athletes.

  • Breathing practices to calm the performing arts students.

  • Meditation practices shown to improve cognitive function, impulse control and anxiety for the benefit of all students.

You will leave the teacher training understanding the physical, mental and emotional benefits of yoga in your own life and ready to integrate your yoga training into the classroom to benefit yourself and your students.

~It is a priceless gift to empower our youth with the knowledge and skills to turn inward, creating their own calm~

“After taking the workshop for educators, I started using the breathing techniques in my classes. For example, one morning one of my students came in and said she didn’t know why but her anxiety was very high. She was having a hard time controlling her breathing. I made the whole class practice the breath retention exercise we learned in the workshop. The whole class got very quiet and calm. Afterward, one girl told me she loves it when my voice was quiet and calm like that. From my experience, we don’t always have the insight to understand why we feel anxious. We can’t put our fingers on it. Kids are even more so this way. The breathing works so well to calm even when you don’t know why you are anxious!”
