Physical and cognitive declines both affect a personβs ability to balance. Physical poses, modified to your unique needs, are used to improve strength, joint mobility and range of motion. Meditation and breathing exercises, which have been shown to improve cognitive function, are also incorporated.

Back injury and pain can be debilitating and require a different approach to a yoga practice. We will focus on appropriate spinal movement while moving safely through the poses to improve range of motion and increase muscle strength. Breathing and meditation practices will be included to assist in working with and reducing pain.

Yoga for Calm and Centeredness
Stress and anxiety create an energetic tension in the body that is felt as muscle tightness, knots and even pain. We will utilize evidence based meditation and breathing techniques to calm the mind and physical poses to help relieve tension held in the neck, shoulders, back and hips.
